I have had the chance in the last 8 weeks to be lazy and live like the masses in an appartment with all the mods and cons which enabled me to try out something that I wanted to do since a while which was fasting. Since I tried it out I was learning more on this interesting and quite phenomenal science and so I can share the bewildering information that I've found.
I tried for the first time prolonged fasting rather than intermittent fasting. The difference between the two are :
- Prolonged fasting - To fast multiple days at a time.
- Intermittent fasting - To have an Eating Window, a time span of eating within 8 hours of each day.
It sounds quite insane the principle of not eating any foods for a while but that's just been imprinted in our minds from the society of fast foods and instant meals of vast variety's around us and available to most 24 hours a day. We already forget that just 60 years ago and before that, we had very different diets which involved no snacking and instead we had a regular rhythm for eating home cooked fresh meals.
In regards to illness and diseases that we have in catastrophic proportion's theses days on the planet, fasting has already clearly been proven to heal most illness - including stage 4 cancer.

I will now type a copy of my last fast as I noted it on paper
Monday.
00.00 START
17.00 4 small glasses of smoothy (unsweetend rice milk based, with fruits and salad blended in, including moringa and spiralina) spread out until 23:00.
Tuesday.
Woke up with a real bad headache and dehydrated - Drank water and fresh lemon juice and did a quick 10 min meditation.. 14:00 Dog Walk. No energy, ate 7 grams of butter. Very clear in the head- body feels heavy, but I am smoking an indica strain..
17.00 - Small half cup of organic instant coffee - Bathed for 30 mins.
Still have the bad headache, and thoughts of food.
18.00 - 40 min meditation, after went for dog walk and feeling fresh with even the feeling of excitement?! You know when your feeling exited about something? that feeling.
Will lay and watch netflix and smoke a spliff.
20.00 - Made a beef fat broth
Wednesday.
00.00 Sleep.
06.00 - I wake up feel good, smoke then sleep until 10.30. Then Dog Walk. As soon as I stared to go down the first few stairs I went from feeling good to feeling very weak and body was heavy to move.
12.30 - Bath & a coffee afterwards at 12.50.
Feeling physically exhausted but much calmer and sharper in the mind. Last night I could feel every cell in my body and at one point my whole body was shaking, not violently but shaking a lot.
13.00 - started to relax in bed, feeling bodily sensations. I can feel the joints are less stiff, which means inflammation has reduced a lot.
- 00 - Dog walk. I was feeling ok, but just very "mute" to the outside world.
I didn't write any more after this and ate again at 00.00 Thurday, I was very weak and to be honest even to take the dogs out was hard work, but this was also a fast where I continued smoking weed and the weed was one that gave a heavy bodily effect! The first fast I did I had no weed, and it seemed easier because smoking cannabis can easily increase appetite. The second fasting I did have weed, and realized how much harder it was and now this fast was the third time and I found it real hard to do.
I was aiming for 7 days but my body told me to stop on the 72 hour mark (again) which is great.
There's one thing that I had read about and actually @munatic was the first one to make one for me to try and that's this new phase of..
Bullet Proof Coffee
The next fast I do will be helped much more by drinking one of these for sure! What a kick start and full of healthy fats. Its made by using coffee, coconut fat, and butter and is dam delicious!
Its so simple to make. Make a fresh coffee..
Add generous amounts of Butter and Coconut Fat.
Then once blended, it looks like this!
Just like a "Normal coffee"
The end results of fasting from my experience.
I just had a friend visit, who has an account @munatic to use firstly the @actifit app. They were the last person to see me before I had ever fasted in my life and knew that before I left I was very skinny and under my usual weight. They came here for a little holiday and after a while they asked me if I had been 'working out' because I had more muscle form than before. In the days before they came, I felt as if I had been working physically when in fact I had been going to the sauna and doing as little as possible and also had been eating much less food in general, and had noticed that I looked again how I used to look when I was in many years of construction work and was looking trim.
The future for myself after these experiences.
This effected me big time. I cant say that any clearer. We are taught to believe that if we don't eat as much as we do already then we will be hungry, and its bad to be hungry - its uncomfortable and makes us feel kranky also and so most times we have the luck to be able to snack something or make a meal to stop the feeling of the hunger and we never explore what happens after the hunger stage, which is something we need to explore as individuals.
More people are trying this out though, when before it was only some practiced by nearly, if not all religions of the world and it has started to be more researched upon with new findings that concern everyone's health.
I am now much more aware that I can keep my body in Ketosis which is when the body doesn't use Glucose for energy, it has transformed system into a fat burning one which can power the body perfectly well and has a much better chance to start healing itself from within. I guess that eating only between 12pm and 8pm will become part of my lifestyle now and I will be eating much much less than I used to. Read this last post from a week ago, it contains shocking information! on why we are all becoming sick and dropping like flies.
Big Love!
@movingman
Well that was fun to read about for sure <3
I feel I have involuntarily done this quite a bit over recent years, going from heavy weed induced food binges into several balancing fasts afterwards where I simply didn't feel like eating much and got quite used to it.
Fasting on weed seems entirely impossible to me, especially after the first bit of sugar or food has entered my system, it requires the utmost restraint to stop continue eating... That said, I feel these experiments have helped me a lot in getting to know my body better, what it can take, how much energy we draw from other sources. I also sometimes thought of "caloric restriction", a thing Sheldrake often refers to when he talks about nutritional science, that being the seemingly convincing statistics that organisms that consume much less calories during their life tend to live much longer than those that do.
Really hyped to try that coffee out, thaaaaanks <3

Thanks mate. I hope we hear of many more people self treating and healing without costs an side effects of the western mafias 'medicine'.
We are also the only mammal that eats when it is sick! There no doubt about it, fasting is a very great thing!

Wow, mind blown!
I always felt food as overrated. I do dig it, but some barefoot weeks at psy festivals have shown me that we can draw energy from other places so I am always curious when people I dig start experimenting with things "everybody knows".
Fully agree with the mafia thing as well, it's outright insane what qualifies as medicine these days. Much love dude!
