This is what happens to the body when we sit too long and do not keep up with the motion or drinking water. Starting from head to toe.
Head
Sitting too long can cause blood clots in the head. This is caused by the blood that does not smoothly circulating on the body so that it clumps there. The dangers that lurk is a stroke.
Neck
The fluid held in the joints and legs, can rise to the neck at night. This causes sleep apnea or stop breathing during sleep.
Lungs
For those with a history of heart failure, be careful. Sitting too long can cause fluid to enter your lungs.
Heart
Heart disease is often caused by lifestyle. But for those who have heart failure and sleep apnea, the fluid will accumulate in the neck and lungs little by little.
Stomach
Although it seems to only hurt the lower back, but sitting too long can bring you at risk of colon cancer and obesity. This is because much of the body's metabolism such as glucose and lipid processing are disrupted.
Thigh
As we sit down, thighs are held back by chairs. The fluid present in the body will accumulate there, causing many problems as above.
