Breastfeeding protects against multiple sclerosis

in health •  7 years ago

Breastfeeding protects women from multiple sclerosis, as the study showed. At this stage, the sex hormones associated with the development of an incurable disease are blocked in the female body.

Those women who still face this incurable neurological disease after breastfeeding have significantly less severe symptoms.

Multiple sclerosis is characterized by thinning of the myelin sheath of nerves, which breaks the passivity of signals from the brain to the body and negatively affects human mobility, vision, speech and many other functions.

A new study showed that breastfeeding their children for at least 15 months throughout their lives, women reduce the likelihood of developing a disease by 50% compared to those of the fairer sex who breastfed for less than 4 months or were not fed at all.
