Why Cardio IS BULLSH*T - Pros and cons

Okay so this will be quick and short - CARDIO IS BIG BULLSHIT and in fact its doing more damage then benefit you.

(In cardio im talking about running on a treadmill).

Pros:

- You will have good stamina.

- Some people just like it.

And now for the brutal truth;

Cons:

- It damages your knees over time.

- You will lose the wanted weight but most of it will be liquids and not body fat at all.

- In-fact - fast walking (power walking) is much better than running and it will actually burn fat unlike running since its anabolic action.

and last one and most important:

- In order to lose weight you have to eat in calorie deficit. so runnning around and burning 300 calories for examle is exactly the same as eat 300 calories less than you should. after getting rid of running you can spend the freed time to actually train with weight (or bodyweight).

Brutally honest? Lol man cardio isn't bullshit and neither is running on a treadmill. One of your pros is: "some people just like it." It builds your cardiovascular endurance, which benefits your heart? That doesn't sound like bullshit to me. I'm not a runner so I don't know if it inherently ruins your knees, but I know that a lot of runners have been doing it for years. This leads me to believe it's form as opposed to anything else.

TLDR: cardio is not bullshit.

The most important statement in my post as I said is that instead of wasting time doing it you can just eat less.

The only point of fitness isn't to look better.... it's to be healthy. Simply eating less doesn't have any effect on your cardiovascular health. 0/10. It's not a waste of time.

No. The only point is what you want to be as your target - look good, be healthy or just feel good..

Cardio in addition to muscle training is okay. But doing too much cardio (more than 5 hours per week) does affect your thyroid and your metabolism becomes slower. That causes in reduction of muscle mass and increase of bodyfat.
