The anti-fast food movement doesn't have an issue with health, it has a problem with poor people. They have a problem with people eating a McChicken sandwich for a couple of bucks and no problem with people spending twenty dollars on crème brûlée as a dessert after a full meal.
The anti-GMO movement doesn't have an issue with health, it has a problem with poor people. A rich, white person in America isn't going to starve to death or go blind due to a lack of vitamin A. People in the Middle East and South Asia regularly do because they live on one cup of rice per day. Golden rice could largely solve the problem but a bunch of rich ass hats in the West have torn up test crops while demanding that further testing be done (don't let that irony escape you) none of whom would ever be compelled to ingest golden rice.
Both of these movements are largely perpetuated by people who claim to be fighting for the working people and the poor people. Both of these movements are rich people taking food out of the mouths of poor people.
