3 Challenges to start the year right!steemCreated with Sketch.

It's 2018! Woooot!! We made it! now we have the whole year to look forward to but keeping those new years resolutions can be hard. So instead of doing a full year challenge, I am simply challenging myself to live, eat and play better for 30-days.

I am doing 3 challenges for the month of January starting with a new diet.

Challenge 1 Diet:

I am a poutine and wine lover. I can't get enough of the rich dense comfort foods that would normally get me through the winter...mmm pasta... But this diet will not include those! I am not looking to turn myself into a twig, I'm not an overweight person but like a lot of others, I have access love in areas that reflect what I eat. "This chocolate cake won't go straight to my thigs...said no women over the age of 20 ever. So we're kicking carbs and empty calories out of the diet to make room for foods that will give me more energy and an over all healthier body. Except for avacodo....thats just gross!

Challenge 2: exercise

I have always tried to do the 30-day workouts, some say they don't work, my biggest problem is sticking to the routine. that's why I am putting it in a vlog so if I don't post I have the wonderful support of the internet people to comment me into work out submission. I'm just doing a simple 30-day beach body routine that includes squats, planks and various other simple workouts that I don't have to buy a gym membership for. I will probably also end up including things like aqua fitness, it's not for old people, even though I am the youngest in my class by about 45 years! I have a bad back and shoulder so it is nice to work out where all the pressure is taken off the areas that hurt the most and it is really a great work out. You don't realize how much swimming takes out of you until you've tried to keep up with the 75-year old that is doing the class waaaay better then you, I'm coming for you Mabel!

Challenege 3: Sleep

This one is for my self and my relationship with my boyfriend, Love you! (he's on steemit, I will be hearing about this later). I am terrible for going to bed super late, I don't think it's a bad thing but it does make getting up early the next day a little harder. My boyfriend has been telling me that I need to start going to bed at a more resonable time. I like my quiet time after the house is quiet and everyone else is sound asleep. I can really do whatever I want, and I feel it's when I get some of my best ideas. Having said that I think I could probably cut that back from 5 hours to an hour every night to start. Until they come out with more episodes of Once upon a time or the Crown on Netflixs... then we'll have to have a chat.
