Concussion : Sensitivity to Light & Noice

in health •  7 years ago

Our brain works hard to filters a lot of information which it considers unnecessary without us even realising it. But when someone gets a head injury or a concussion many of those filter will not work well creating a sensitivity towards noice and light. This is what I experienced recently that I had difficulty adjusting to the lighting around even (which include the sunlight). Light that was considered normal to all of us, was considered rather too bright for me. And at one point, I reduce the amount of time spent on my laptop and phone. I also adjust the lighting for my laptop.

With a lot of rest, Thank God, I got better and that sensitivity has reduce. I am so grateful we have a brain that does so much for us without us even noticing it. It is the most intelligent gift that God has given to all of us and we should always take good care of it.
