Media vs. Body - The low self esteemp

The problem that I see is that people look at self esteem as an entitlement. Real self esteem comes from accomplishment...trying and failing and trying again until you succeed. It has nothing to do with how you look or act. Real self esteem, nobody can take away. We live in a false pop-culture reality based on looks, money and other falsities. You only buy into it and let it affect you if you want to.

Which I wanted you to understand that not everyone can just "do not care" for it. Unfortunately, depending on the person, this affects and much the psychological.

I'm not saying don't care, that's impossible- we're human. I'm saying self esteem is where you find it. For example, you're a good writer...you should derive self esteem from that. Beauty isn't self esteem. I've had girlfriends that wouldn't be considered "beautiful" by the impossible standards set forth by advertisers etc...but they were beautiful in how they carried and presented themselves. Beauty comes from within and it shows. I've met "beautiful" girls that I wouldn't bother to throw a rock at from across the street. Ugly shows through too. If you are beautiful inside, people will see it...but first you have to believe it. You take what you have and build on it...like the saying goes: "If you believe, you can achieve." Be beautiful and you will be beautiful! (I know these things, I'm really, really old lol!)

I understand you.. thanks.. ;)
