The benefits of fasting for health are numerous

How are my friends? Today I will explain some of the benefits of fasting for the health of us all.

Fasting can be a safe way to lose weight.

Much research has shown intermittent fasting - a periodic fasting, allowing the body to burn fat cells more effectively than a regular diet.

Intermittent fasting allows the body to use fat as the main source of energy, not sugar.

Today, many athletes use fasting as a means to reduce body fat when faced with competition.

Increased insulin sensitivity

Fasting has been shown to have a positive effect on insulin sensitivity. This allows the body to tolerate carbohydrates (sugar) better.

A study shows that after the period of fasting, insulin becomes more effective in "telling" cells to take glucose from the blood.

Increase metabolism

Fasting makes our digestive system rest. It can energize metabolism to burn calories more efficiently.

If digestion is bad, then the condition may affect the ability to metabolize food and burn fat.

Fasting can also regulate digestion and improve healthy bowel function.

This is what ultimately can improve our metabolic function.

Set the hormone of hunger

Think about it, can we really experience real hunger if we eat food every 3-4 hours?

Of course you can not.

In fact, to experience the true nature of hunger, it will take from 12-24 hours.

Fasting helps regulate hormones in the body so we really feel a real hunger.

Those with more weight do not receive the right signal to tell the right hunger.

This method is also very helpful to those who have an irregular diet, either because of work and other priorities.

It does not matter if we do intermittent fasting throughout the afternoon without eating.

This way can allow us to eat at the appointed time and in accordance with our lifestyle.

For anyone who wants to prevent excessive appetite, we can set a time where we can consume a daily amount of calories at a time.

After that, we must endure this appetite until the next day.

Improve brain function

Fasting has been shown to improve brain function, because it increases the production of a protein called brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF).

BDNF activates brain stem cells to convert into new neurons, and triggers many other chemicals that promote neural health.

This protein also protects our brain cells from changes associated with Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease.

Improving the immune system

Fasting can boost the immune system.

By fasting, the body is able to reduce free radical damage, regulate inflammatory conditions in the body and prevent the formation of cancer cells.

In nature, when the sick animals they stop eating and focus to rest.

These are primitive instincts to reduce stress on their internal systems, so that their bodies can fight off infections.

Humans are the only species that searches for food when we are sick, even when we do not need it.
