Here is a fictitious story that I wrote some time back. Enjoy reading the story.

Umulio stood mesmerized, rooted in place. His head reeled and spun round in unending circles. Was he alive or dead, asleep or awake? Was he dreaming? He pinched himself so hard that he yelped in pain. This was no nightmare; it was reality staring him in the face. It slammed him so hard that he flinched in pain.

Here is what prompted my writing this story. Imagine a person actually swallowing knives. He swallowed one....two....three...four, he did not stoo there.

He gobbled down 6,7, 19,30 upto 40. Forty metals actually found itself inside a man's stomach.

I wonder what he lacked. Was he normal? Was he crazy? But he did swallow knives.

Doctors were baffled. Some of the knives were rusted. He started feeling bad and nauseaous. That is how he found himself in the hospital. This is not fiction but a reality.

"In my 20 years of practice, I have never seen anything like it," doctor says
(CNN) A man in India spent two months swallowing knives and had 40 of them surgically removed from his stomach, according to the doctor who led the operation.

"He had a wild urge to consume metal. Even for us, the experienced surgeons, it was frightening," Dr. Jatinder Malhotra told CNN.

"We were so nervous... a small mistake could have taken the patient's life. In my 20 years of practice, I have never seen anything like it."

A second knife came hurtling through the thick forest. It flew through, cutting down any shrub or hanging root that was trying to block its movement. Involuntarily, he found himself kneeling and praying vehemently as the knife passed, missing his head by inches. It had been by a reflex action he had ducked and missed the first knife too.

Who was it that was hurling knives at him? What wrong had he done that somebody wanted him dead? And what was the apparition that kept appearing and disappearing before his visage. These questions fleetingly passed through his mind as he fervently said a prayer seeking for protection from God.

Suddenly, fire erupted all round him. Then an eerie sacarstic laugh reverberated from the trees and echoed all round him ending in diminuendo down the valley. The fire ended as suddenly as it started, without burning him.

Umulio stood up and loudly started calling upon the Lord of hosts, Jesus Christ. There was no tinge of fear in him now. He knew his adversary now and he was bracing for war.

Umulio was a pastor with Miracle International, Nigeria. He had condemned the oracle of Amadioha and many priests of the oracle had converted. The chief priest, Ezeumwo had warned the pastor that calamity will befall him. The priest of the oracle had mentioned something like ’40 knives’. He wondered what that meant. Then it hit him like a bombshell. Two knives had already missed him. There were 38 more…….

Then another knife came whizzing through the forest.

“Jesus.” Umulio shouted.

As if on cue, more knives came and started circling him. He couldn’t count them but he knew they were 38. And if you added the two embeded in the tree made 40 knives.

“Holy Ghost fire, Holy Ghost Fire, come down.” He invoked.

There was the rumbling sound of thunder and suddenly fire erupted on the knives. One by one, each burning knife fell down. A cry full of agony followed. It tore the day like a sharp knife may cut into soft, boneless meat. Then out came Ezeumwo from the forest burning like the devil in hell.

“Thank you Jesus”
