Carbohydrates are known to have a bad reputation as a cause of weight gain, which is called for the spread of diets a few or non-carbohydrates, but in fact carbohydrates are the pillars of nutrition balanced, but depends on the type.
The common sources of carbohydrate are bread, rice and pasta, said Dr. Stefan Kapish, a physician at the German Institute for Nutrition Research. The food is also found in vegetables, fruits and dairy products, as well as sugars and sugar-sweetened juices.
Carbohydrates are sugar molecules, but they are not all identical. Nutrition experts differentiate between carbohydrates according to the type and length of sugar molecules. The longer the chain of sugar molecules is, the more complex carbohydrates are.
Glucose and fructose are made up of one sugar molecule, while milk sugar or sugar cane consists of two molecules. Starch and cellulose, for example, are found in plant foods. They are called polycyclic sugars because of the long chain of sugar molecules.
Multi-molecule sugars are more beneficial for food health than mono-molecular sugars. They help to feel full, and they are usually in foods rich in Vietnamese and minerals, such as vegetables and fruits.
Simple sugars are usually found in foods that are low in nutrients, such as sweetened juices, sweets and fast food.
Whole grains, vegetables and fruits contain dietary fibers that are often made up of polycrystalline sugars.
"Dietary fiber not only supports intestinal function, it also limits the risk of bowel cancer, high blood pressure and increased disease weight," said Professor Hans-Heuner, professor of therapeutic nutrition at the Technical University of Munich.
For this reason, carbohydrates in whole grains, vegetables and fruits are the best types of carbohydrates, and they are a basic pillar of balanced nutrition.
Nutritionists are advised to eat vegetables and fruits as much as possible, choosing whole grain varieties for bread and pasta, as well as minimizing sweets and dispensing as much sugar as possible. To avoid unnecessary sugar intake, fresh foods should also be preferred for finished products.
weight gain, a recent study suggests:
The study was conducted by the neuroscientist at Uppsala University in Sweden, Christian Benedict, and will be presented at the European Conference on Endocrinology in Lisbon on Sunday.
The study found that sleep problems may lead to changes in appetite, metabolism, motivation and physical activity, leading to a disorder in appetite and eventually lead to weight gain.
