MSM powder for optimal recovery

I first bought MSM powder when I had a little pain in the joints of all body weight training I did that requires good joint health. After I tested MSM for about 2 weeks, the symptoms were gone and I began to read more and more about MSM. The benefits are endless and I've tried to sum up what MSM powder is.

MSM powder is mentioned more and more in the healthcare industry, but what is MSM?

Technically, MSM is an abbreviation for Methyl-Sulfonyl-Methane, which is an organic sulfur compound and is the third largest nutrient found in the human body. MSM is also an ingredient found in a lot of foods, meat, dairy products and vegetables.

The clinical use of sulfur as a supplement to our diet is increasingly recognized as an important tool for optimizing health. MSM powder is already well known for its health benefits in joint health.

Of course, diet is the most important tool for reducing the risk of chronic degenerative diseases. But the practical question is how to get sulfur from food grown in nutrient-poor soils? Sulfur is becoming increasingly recognized as a critical substance in the human body that causes many other parts of your body to function properly. Most people probably do not get enough in their diet.

For example, sulfur plays a decisive role in detoxification, and even in inflammatory conditions. Sulfur exists in more than 150 different compounds within the human body. There are sulfur components in virtually every type of cell, so it's extremely important.

5 main benefits of MSM powder

MSM helps your body with increased energy and can help you with relief of ailments such as asthma and allergy. MSM performs a number of important functions in your body every day. Let's look at some of the most important ones.

Important source of sulfur

Sulfur is perhaps one of the most important nutrients our body needs and exists in amino acids, which in turn are the basic building blocks for protein. Sulfur also has a number of other healing and preventative properties for the human body. MSM happens to be the best form of sulfur that can be consumed both in food and nutritional supplements.

Skeletal and joint health

MSM is a nutritional nutrient for your bone health and relieves diseases such as arthritis and osteoarthritis. MSM helps to break up the unhealthy lime deposits in the body which is the root cause of degenerative diseases.

In addition, MSM powder helps with the following:

• Improves flexibility of conductors
• Reduces pain and swelling
• Reduces stiffness
• Improves circulation
• Enhance cell vitality

Detoxification effect

MSM increases the ability of cells to flush out excess fluid and toxins. This mechanism has a very important detoxifying effect, which makes it easier for the body to absorb important nutrients in your system and thereby improve the overall function of your cell membranes.

Skin and hair care

The sulfur as a find in MSM produces generous amounts of collagen and keratin, both of which are important for healthy hair and nails. In fact, MSM is often called a "beauty mineral" because of its ability to increase the thickness and strength of nails and hair in a very short time. In addition, research also shows that MSM is very helpful in treating skin disorders such as:

• Psoriasis
• Eczema
• Rosacea
• Dermatitis
• Acne
• Dandruff

Natural energy booster

MSM increases the permeability of our cells. Because of this increased permeability, these cells then need a lesser amount of energy to treat the poison we have received. In addition, due to detoxification, it becomes easier for the body to absorb nutrients, which in turn reduces the amount of energy that is put on food degradation.

Other benefits

• Can relieve asthma
• Can alleviate allergies
• Helps maintain a good pH balance
• Helps gastrointestinal issues such as diarrhea, nausea and constipation
• Reduces snoring
• Helps with cramps, headaches and muscle aches, especially caused by hormonal imbalance
• Healing carpal tunnel syndrome
• Helps to balance blood sugar levels
• Reduces overall stress levels

Is MSM powder something for you?

I think it's best to get your nutrients from organic foods. But, I am also realistic, and I understand that a perfect diet is difficult to achieve today with mass production and poor eating habits. So some supplements I think can be quite beneficial. MSM would fall into this category.

Great article on MSM @stefanarud
I've had some past success with MSM. I do have to take it in capsule form because the powder form is unbearable in my opinion.

Thanks!
I take the powder in my morning smoothie so I can't taste it at all 🙂
