I would like to let people know that comfrey is covered in spiky hairs, so its best to use gloves when handling it. I once applied comfrey cream to a cat bite that I thought was fairly shallow.. it wasn't.. the next day a very thick layer of skin had healed over the top leaving a hard lump inside my thumb and it took 2 weeks for it to eventually soften. Thankfully it didn't get infected <3 Im glad that I have first hand experience for future reference as my mind set on wounds beforehand was "if its not bleeding heavily, I can still move it and im not dying, its only a scratch" Comfrey is still one of my favorite herbs :)
