Good afternoon,

Today I want to show you, in pictures, how I made homemade air fried tostones/plantains.

IMG_3520.JPG

Cut green plantains into 1 inch pieces and take skin off

Place them into air fryer

Air fry 5-7 minutes, take out and smoosh them with a tostonera or two plates or cutting boards (careful, I broke a plate doing this)

Put back into Air Fryer for another 3-4 minutes or until desired color/texture

That's original! Thanks! for the tip.

We don't have these in Tiltcove. It's mostly dried fish and turnips..sometimes we make dirt and seaweed pies

They look really good! how would you rate the air fryer out of 10? im interested after seeing what you can do with them :)

I would say like an 8.5/10 only because some things are a little drier than I'd like, but other than that it's awesome!

i think i am going to get one it sounds like a great investment to create healthy low-fat food for the kids, thanks buddy :)

IMHO totally worth it!

Great post. I've just started a quest to loose a few stone and although these are probably high in carbohydrates, I can see these making a great snack and a pre-run pick-me-up. Yum yum yum

Carbs are your friend man, not enemy! You want to make sure you don't get too much fat and protein in your diet ;)
