Long-term use of acetaminophen during pregnancy was associated with twice the risk of attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder in children, according to a study published Monday in the journal Pediatrics. However, two experts believe that the data do not support these findings.
Acetaminophen, also known as paracetamol, is the active ingredient in Tylenol and hundreds of over-the-counter and prescription medicines, according to the US Food and Drug Administration. It is commonly prescribed during pregnancy to relieve pain and fever, with an estimated 65% of pregnant women in America using the drug, according to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
This doesn't really surprise me one bit. It's bad for your liver so guaranteed it's bad for other parts for the body as well like little babies brains when they are still in the womb. I'll admit there nothing better for me when I have a cold or cough that's keeping me up at night than Nyquil but I don't drink with it and don't take it for more than a couples days straight. Acetaminophen like any toxic substance in the boy isn't going to permanently harm if you take small doses of it while you're sick but it's the people use it constantly for headaches and pain relief that are really in danger of doing harm to their liver or in this case unborn babies.
Here's a tip for all the headache suffers out there that need to take Tylenol. Most headaches are caused by something you eat, drink or breath. In my case I would get some nasty headaches after eating Chinese, Ramen noodles or really salty marinates for meat. One day I realized I would get a nasty headache an hour after eating Ramin so I looked on the package and saw that MSG was like third main ingredient. So I immediately stopped eating that shit. I don't eat much Chinese either endless I can see there's no MSG in it. The only time I get headaches from food is if i'm eating out an order a marinated chicken breast or steak and they use MSG in it.
So figure out if it's something in your environment that causing your headaches in the first place so you don't have to be popping pills all that have bad side effects.

It is really a shame @wakeupnd that more people don't recognize how easy it is for the body to reach Toxic Overload with the many chemical compounds we are each exposed to everyday.
Years ago, before I was enlightened to the fact that the body really only needs a few essentials to do the job it was intended to do, I was under doctors' care. They'd prescribed me a medication for pain, however I never questioned their decisions back then and was on it for over 2 years.
If it had not been for a pharmacist that called my doctor while I was at the counter and heard the conversation I wouldn't have believed it. He said: "You are killing this woman. There is far too much tylenol in this medication and you've had her on it for 2 years. 'YOU' are destroying her liver."
That was one of many "wake-up" calls that spurred me into investigative research on the entire pharma cartel. I expanded my research to spend time with Insider Doctors, those that know and understand the value in providing only the essential and removing any toxic components from the diet. Needless to say, I am still here and at the time of the (encounter at the counter) doctors had given me only 3 to 5 years to live. That was in 1995. ;)
