Still no answers as to what is causing this outbreak unfortunately.

There have been 232 cases in 14 countries in Europe. 6 received liver transplants and 1 died.

76% of cases have been in children under 5.

60% of those tested were positive for adenovirus, but many weren't tested by whole blood, which is the most accurate. Of the whole blood samples, 69% tested positive.

12% of those tested were positive for SARS-COV-2. Among those with serological testing, 74% had coronavirus antibodies. Important to keep in mind the population background level of coronavirus antibodies is high at this point, especially among children.

84% of the children were not vaccinated against the coronavirus, so the vaccine can be ruled out.
