The HealthHeart Crowdsale is Officially Over!

in healthheart •  7 years ago

Hey everyone! With the HealthHeart crowdsale completed, we wanted to say thanks for everyone who’s contributed, participated in our bounty, and just showed interest in our project. We couldn’t have done any of this without you.

So I’m sure most of you want to get to the total before anything else, so let’s get to it. As of January 2nd, we raised 5.23 BTC, 50.87 ETH, and 19.54 LTC. At current market values, that’s equivalent to $126,737.32. We did store the funds in a hardware wallet, so if you want additional proof beyond what was listed in the pre-crowdsale post on BitcoinTalk, let me know.

Of course, the recent collapse of BTC didn’t help the value, but hey. To be honest, I messed up quite a few things during this campaign, which is why we didn’t raise more. The fault is mine. I could write a book on how not to run an ICO, so expect a wave of posts on this going forward.

But enough of that. HealthHeart definitely didn't fail by any means; I'm eternally grateful for that. So what’s next? Over the next few months, what can you expect from the HealthHeart project?

-Distribution of tokens. We're doing final validation now, and have no reason to expect any delays in token distribution. It should still be happening on February 1st, 2018.

-The hiring of a development team. We can’t afford full-time developers at this point, but blockchain dev shops are well in range of our new budget. We've sent over an NDA to an Indian company. We're just waiting for it to be signed so we can discuss the design details with them. If that doesn’t work out, we have a shop in New Zealand that offers the same thing at a higher cost.

-Closing of parts of our social media accounts. There’s a lot of social media that neither us or the people that care about us use. Examples are Reddit, Medium, BitcoinTalk, and WeChat. We already closed KakaoTalk a while back. Going forward, I’d like to focus on Twitter, Facebook, and my new account here on Steemit, and the primary will be Steemit. I’ll keep my personal Telegram account open, but I’m not sure what to do with the group chat. Any preferences?

-Rebranding the company and product. This will only be if costs allow, of course. I don’t know about you, but I don’t like the HealthHeart name. Since day one, feedback on it was … lukewarm. But at that point, we already started with our marketing and thus had to commit. Oh well. When we release our product, it will likely be bearing a different name than “HealthHeart”. Obviously, this won’t change functionality or the use of the tokens you hold.

So that’s that. Stay tuned, since I’ll be talking a lot more about our crowdsale, our product, and our future. I’ll be using this going forward, since it feels a lot more “real” and uncensored than Twitter and Facebook.

Take care,
-Mark “Keewenaw” Rudnitsky
