Green beans are one of the most popular vegetables in the world. They are known by many names, like string beans (for old varities) French beans, snaps or snap beans. Green beans are the young or unripe fruit inside a protective pod of various types of common beans. Green beans are long, thin, green vegetable known for its edible pods.

Green beans are either sold frozen, fresh, dried, fried or canned. They are eaten around the world, either raw, boiled, steamed, baked in casseroles, cooked in soup or stir-fried. Eating green beans are really good because they have lots of nutritional benefits for us.
