What do you think about the 80/20 diet? Would you apply it? Explain your answer.

In today's lifestyle, keeping the body in shape is a challenge for many. Obesity is caused by factors such as a sedentary lifestyle and unhealthy eating habits. Due to this, people are starting to use various strategies to lose weight.

What is 80/20 diet

You should eat healthy, nutritious foods 80 percent of the time. The remaining 20 percent of the time, you can eat whatever you like. This means that you should not completely avoid your favorite foods in the name of dieting, but indulge in them occasionally. You don't have to give up your favorite pizza or ice cream. You can have these in moderation.

The 80/20 Diet plan can help you live a healthier life and lose weight. The good news is that there are no strict dietary restrictions on this plan. You can choose a balanced diet based on your preferences. This will give you the following benefits:

  • Helps you stay active throughout the day
  • Reducing health related problems
  • Digetionl system funtions properly
  • Body weight maitained
  • Beauty is being polished
  • Prevents the appearance of aging

Have you ever tried any of the diets mentioned in this class? How was your experience?

Yes, I follow 80/20 since I don't follow many diets because I always eat with my family members. However, I follow the 80/20 method and avoid my favorite foods as much as I can. For example, I really like vegetarian dishes, and I used to cook and eat them three or four times a week. But after COVID-19, I started gaining weight because I had to stay at home. So I have been following the rule that I should eat vegetarian dishes only once a week. If necessary, we take foods like eggs or chicken on one day in between.

Similarly, we don't eat much food during night shifts. We eat light meals, for example, fruit juice, fruit salad, etc. Earlier, I used to eat a lot of restaurants, street food and fast food. Now I avoid them and cook and eat at home. I go to restaurants only once or twice a month.

My health has also changed as my diet and habits have changed. Earlier I had digestive problems and problems like acidity, but now it has completely gone away. My weight is now stable. I used to get headaches frequently. The doctor had said that the reason was digestive problems. Now I don't have that problem. So I think that by following this 80 /20 diet, I have made a good improvement in my health.

Share several images in which we can visualize what habits you complement your diet with.

I don't save many pictures. However, I will share some pictures from my old steemit posts here. These are usually vegetable-based foods because they are high in protein and nutrients and low in fat and carbohydrates.

####With the formula shared in this class, calculate the amount of water you should consume in a day. Are you consuming that amount daily?

My weight is 58 kg, as per formula (Quantity of water (in liters) = Body weight (in kg) x 0.033 )

So, I should drink 1.94 liters of water a day. Since the weather is hot here now, I think I drink more than 2 liters of water. For example, when I wake up in the morning and relax, I drink 150 ml of water. Then, after I do my workout, I drink a quarter liter of water. Then, after breakfast, I drink 150 ml of water. In the afternoon, I drink about 200 ml of water 2 or 3 times.

After lunch, I drink 150 ml of water. Similarly, in the evening, I drink 200 ml of water 2 or 3 times. After dinner, I drink 150 ml of water. Apart from this, I drink 100 ml of water whenever I need it. So, in total, I think I consuming about two and a half liters of water everday, whcis more than the required amount acoording to my weight.

Create a healthy dish to your liking based on what you learned in this class. The dish should contain a fat and bread substitute, in addition to having the recommended protein of your choice.

We can cook and eat pasta made from wheat to avoid the carbohydrate and fat-based foods that we always eat. But eating just pasta is not good for the body. So it is better to cook and eat it with more vegetables. In that way, today I have made vegetable mix pasta and I am sharing its recipe here.
