Pinoy dish: Adobong puso ng saging (banana blossom)

Today's menu adobong puso ng saging is a pinoy dish which means we sauté the banana blossom in soysauce. Another healthy and affordable meal.

Preparation time: 3mins.
Cooking time: 30mins.
Servings: 5-6 servings

INGREDIENTS:

3tbps. cooking oil
onion and garlic (minced)
1/2 kilo puso ng saging or banana blossom(shredded)
2 tbsps. Sugar
1 cup soy sauce
1 tspn pepper
3tbsp maggi savor classic liquid seasonings
1/4 pork (cut into cubes)
2cups of water

PROCEDURE:

1.) Heat a pan then pour in cooking oil.
2.)Saute garlic and onion.
3.)Put in the pork and stir cook it for about 3 minutes.
4.)Put in pepper, sugar, and maggi savor liquid seasonings to add rich flavor.
5.)Add soysauce and stir.
6.)And last put in puso ng saging or shredded banana blossom stir and let it boiled until cooked.
7.)Serve it hot share and enjoy.

Banana blossom or banana flowers contain magnesium, they are natural anti depressants without any side effects. It also increases the total hemoglobin levels in the body. Hence, they manage diabetes and anemia. Calculated intake of banana flowers reduces blood sugar levels.

They are very helpful in reducing menstrual pains in many women. A cup of cooked banana flowers can help deal with these problems. Cooked banana flowers along with curd or yogurt increases the progesterone hormone in the body and reduces bleeding.
