You can never sit in front of a plate of bole and say that you have no appetite to eat. Bole is a food in the West African region of Nigeria and was brought into being by the Yoruba tribe of Nigeria. The bole dish is known for its appetizing looks and has the power to keep businessmen on the bench waiting for their own slice to be readily prepared for them before leaving for their workplaces.
The original component called and known as Bole in this part of the World is a roasted or grilled ripe plantain. An unripe plantain cannot be qualified to bear the name Bole. The ripe plantain is first peeled and roasted over little fire or hot coals alongside fishes or roast groundnuts. In some situations and places, slices of yams are as well roasted alongside this great dish to complement the quantity for the numerous customers who argue over the dish on fire at the moment.
While the plantains are being roasted, a very delicious but simple sauce made up of oil, tomatoes, pepper and some very special leaves are as well prepared at a corner to augment the dish to its wonderful taste. Any drink can go with this fantastic dish but a cool bottle of chilled water would be the best recommendation.
