As a medical doctor i have been used to the Term HELA . Its a human cell line discovered in the 20 century which could replicate byitself outside the body on a labdish. this allowed lot of tests to be conducted and revolutionarised science as we know it.
what i never knew was the story of the person who had these cells . And what happened to her family .
This movie is a groundbreaking story, be ready to see things soo differently

Narrated by Henrettia Lacks daughter we get to know that for them their mother is alive and she is now spread across the world.
From my narrow scientific viewpoint i cant grasp it but from a human viewpoint i see what the children of Henrettia lacks felt .
It also says lot about ethics of doctors at john hopkins , who made millions out of her cells and didnt give any money to Lacks family .
it saddens my heart
