Love’s golden queen

King of mighty Olympus
There is swiftness and skill
In the light of Hermes
Wisdom’s holy messenger
There is wisdom and wiliness
In the light of Athena
Wisdom’s sacred mistress
There is no worry
No fear of failure
No terror of the day
So long as they walk with you
There is warmth and sight
In the light of Helios
The glorious Sun
There is beauty and assurance
In the light of Selene
The silver-gowned Moon
There is splendor and awe
In the light of Eos
Guardian of the Eastern Gates
There is mystery and charm
In the light of Hekate
Keeper of many secrets
There is no worry
No fear of death
No terror at the night
So long as they walk with you
Those blessed beings
Who dwell on high in eternal light
And beneficent strength that is a boon to all living things
