Help... Steemit not loading images

Hello, I seem to be having an issue. I've searched through steemit for a solution but I haven't been successful in finding one. When I try to upload an image, it says uploading, followed by a red error saying "Image upload: Unable to contact the server." Also all images from other people's posts do not show for me. This began yesterday. Since everyone is continuing posting posts with images that I can not see, I assume that I am the only one with this problem. I've restarted my computer, restarted my router, disabled my firewall, logged out and back into steemit, and refreshed pages dozens of times. I've also right clicked on images and clicked "open in another tab," but it just takes me to page not found. I've tried this in Chrome, Firefox, Opera, and Internet Explorer. If anybody has a solution, please help. thank you
