Is anyone out there seeing this strange issue with GOOGLE CHROME where it won't download images?

I just posted with the same issue maybe an hour ago in help. I'm having the issue with all browsers... chrome, firefox, IE, and opera.

We haven't really tested any other mainstream browsers, she has Chrome and Tor but it won't go away for her. I had it pop up last night and just kicked off my pc wifi and back on and it stopped but that trick is not working for my fiance...so probably that was just a coincidence. There is no online feedback, chrome is not saying anything but if your seeing this and we are, definitely an issues somewhere. Windows did update, wonder if that is it? You on windows 10? Well seeing we are both screwed with the same issue, followed you for feeling your pain. If I find a fix I will let you know, let me know if you sort it too if you can

I'm on Windows 8.1, by choice. Also, I haven't let windows run updates since 2015.... by choice. I have not updated chrome in a while either... by choice. I'm going to try updating my chrome to see if it helps me. I'll let you know if I figure anything out.

Well, I figured something out. I used a proxy site to access steemit, and all images are loading as long as I used the proxy site. I know this isn't a solution, but it may be useful to figuring out what exactly is going on. The proxy site I tested it on is https://whoer.net/ using Chrome.

Wow, buddy something is going on here. I responded to you a minute ago, it said my account does not exist, and kicked me out of my comment section to respond to you. I just about lost it because I am sitting on a grand here locked up but a refresh brought me back, whew that seriously scared me bad. I know Steemit has a hard fork coming up on the 20th...could this just be updates going on in the chain?

It's something to do with steemit's image host https://steemitimages.com. Chrome seems to think it is an unsafe site... https is red-marked through. I disabled "Protect me from harmful sites" and it's still not working :( My javascript is enabled and I'm not sure what else I can try to fix it. I had issues logging into Steemit and being kicked out like a month ago, but I left Steemit alone for a day and it worked the next day. It's been a full 24 hours since images quit loading for me.

I went to that link and checked it out, no red strike on my machine but mine is working fine, well for now. This is tell tailing though of a sign of censorship like Chrome has done to me with a few miner software sites in the past and a few other crypto projects I randomly see blacklisted then randomly they are fine. I question this because I get these weird issues in crypto related sites now and then, i been wondering why but now steemit? But our issue also goes to google images on her, she can not right click and save on any image anywhere on the internet, it will look like its downloading then immediately say failed due to a block but no block can be found.

Odd. I don't know what else to do besides wait and see if things change tomorrow. If things aren't fixed tomorrow, I'll be back on trying to fix it. If I find anything out, I'll let you know.

Sounds good, hey at least you tried....I think as far as Steemit its due to the coming fork, least I hope and it clears up after lol. Thank you for trying though and looking into this, cool in my book. Keep in touch, I am on here a lot
