Thanks so much for your helpful reply! Where do I find my wallet? And...isn't there something I have to do with 5 of the 7 dollars, to activate or something?

Downvoting a post can decrease pending rewards and make it less visible. Common reasons:

    Hit the round avatar icon in the top right, then choose Waller from the menu.

    At this point I think it's ok to do nothing with the money you have. Once you've collected some considerable amount of STEEM you might want to power them up or convert to Steem Dollars. Here's a brief explanation of these
