When I started creating my account on Steemit i was not really clear what to write about.. I never liked Facebook, as i think it is massive, and besides that, you are not really the one who decide what you think is nice. In the beginning there was not even a " unlike" button, so who is the one that decides if you like something or not?
I see a lot of new people coming on Steemit, i believe last week there where almost a 1000 new subscribers, and that is great. But all of you must have an idea what you want to do here. There is no such thing as easy money and you will have to work your ass off to get the right followers. You will have to be involved to be accepted by the community.
What should I write?
All of the content you create has to be original, or you will get flagged. Sure, there is a possibility that you write something that somebody else already covered, a subject that somebody else wrote about. As long as you did not do that on purpose and you have used your own words, this can happen.
So use your imagination. What I did is think about the things I like. I love cooking, traveling and seeing nice things is really for me, and how else would i end up here; I am in to cryptocurrencies. So these where the things i wanted to start with writing about. Writing about the things you like make you enthusiastic and people can read that in your posts. And sure, i can imagine I will not get that many reactions from the start but ok, let's see how it works out.
Some free tips I like to use!
Besides that one tip I can give you, is take a good look around. Not only on Steemit, but also in your personal life. There are a lot of things happening in your life every single day that are worth telling others about. Think about pictures you made on a trip, some special event on your work etc. There are some many thing that people are interested in, and they will follow you for that content you are writing, because you and only you, wrote it.
On the other hand browse Steemit, there is a lot going on there, which can give you inspiration on a post. Some people write something that gives you a brilliant idea to get your pen and start writing. You can see what intrigues people, what people like to see and read.
Last tip i can give you are the challenges. There are a lot of challenges on Steemit to participate, and where you can show what you have got. A lot of Steemians follow these posts in order to see what is going on and if there are some praiseworthy posts. The Steemians participating in these challenges often give their best of work, so you should do that two.
