Can Someone Please help me with inserting images to steemit posts?

Assistance Please

I have tried all sorts of methods; HTML etc. But i'm not getting anywhere. Some guidance would be appreciated please. Also, i don't seem to be able to edit a post after submission.

        Hmm I just simply paste the image link and it works for me. It shows up. I don't use HTML or any other code
