What is your car trouble?

I want to give back to Steemit community and provide some help on something that I know very well. Cars and how to fix them.

Please ask me about your car issue. Won't go into gear. Strange sounds. Don't know if you should take your car in to the shop. Don't get mad. Just ask. Maybe I can help.

Send me the make, model, and year along with car symptoms.

Sometimes my engine light goes on and off intermittently and I was wondering if you had any ideas please.

Unless the check engine light is flashing while you are driving, it usually not anything serious. The computer checks sensors all the time and sometimes if a sensor data is out of parameters, then the light will come on. Sometimes it will stay on until reset by turning the ignition switch off and back on. The car's computer will log the sensor that was out of parameter. That information can usually be downloaded for free at autozone. Sometimes the problem is just a glitch, sometimes the sensor is not measuring correctly, and sometimes some part of the car is not performing optimally. Have the fault codes downloaded to see if it is something that you need further troubleshooting.

Thank you for this in-depth and helpful information. I have not had any issues driving it so I agree that it must relate to the computer sensors.

Sounds like it is time to trade that car in on a less annoying car.

Between a kompressor and 4matic, which should i go for and why?

Sounds like a good problem to have. Choices, Choices...

It is really up to your preference. The Kompressor is supercharged option which means more power. The 4matic means all wheel drive for better traction. I wonder if they offer both together?

That would be a super car!
Considering that the Kompressor is supercharged, won't that affect the fuel economy of the car?

Indeed, but if you are buying a Kompressor, money saved on economy is not an issue. You must be very earth conscious.

It is a Hyundai Sonata 2012.

This sounds like that show that used to be on NPR- those brothers that would tell you what they think might be wrong with your car! Sounds awesome. Hope you keep doing the show!

I hope it helps folks. Thanks for the support.
