The two varieties of St. John's wort are widely used in folk medicine for various diseases.

Red St John's Wort

Usable parts:

All overhead parts of the plant are used. The main ingredients are bitter substances amarogentin and gentiopicrin. The herb also contains flavonoids and sterols.Red St John's Wort

Healing action and application.

St. John's Wort is used in the absence of appetite, inadequate production of gastric juices, gases or to prevent the formation of gallstones. People with severe acid stomachs should avoid St John's wort. The active ingredients of the plant stimulate blood circulation and help with nervous fatigue. St. John's Wort also relieves migraine headaches.

Important note! While St. John's Wort is difficult to overdose and the herb has no known side effects, we do not recommend it to be used by people suffering from stomach ulcer or enteritis.

Tea:

Pour 1 teaspoon. Dry St John's Wort with 1 cup of cold water. Allow to soak 6-10 hours, then strain. Heat and drink the potion. Enjoy with honey.

Tea Mixture:

Mix 1 teaspoon. dried St. John's wort with 1 teaspoon. dill and 1 teaspoon. mint. Pour the mixture with 1 cup of boiling water. Allow to stand for 10 minutes, then strain. Drink 2-4 glasses all day long. This tea has a pleasant taste.

The regular consumption of St. John's wort tea (or a tea blend in which this herb is also present) stimulates the release of bile juice and regulates blood circulation. When taken regularly for a long time, tea helps relieve depression. St. John's wort oil can be used externally for rheumatism, sunburn and lumbago. Helps healing processes and relieves pain in sprains, haematomas and shingles.

Important note! After regular St. John's wort, some people develop sensitivity to sunlight and become prone to easier sunburn.

Tea:

Pour 2 tea liars. St. John's Wort with 1 cup of boiling water. Allow to stand for 10 minutes, then strain. Drink 3-4 glasses throughout the day. In treating depression, you may need to take your tea regularly for 4 weeks before you feel it.

High-blood tea blend:

Mix 2 teaspoons. St. John's wort with 1 teaspoon. lemon juice, 1 teaspoon. the colors of arnica, 1 teaspoon. white thorn seeds and 1 teaspoon. Easter. Pour the mixture 2 cups of boiling water. Let it boil for 15 minutes, then strain and sweeten with honey. Drink a few sips for the whole day.

Oil:

Chop 3 cups of fresh St. John's wort. Pour together 2 cups of soybean oil into a hermetically sealed jar and leave it for 6 weeks in a sunny place. Shake the jar daily. When the oil turns red, strain and cool the sludge well. Pour into a bottle with a stopper.

Wet St. John's Wort Compress:

Stir 1 egg yolk by dropping 2 drops. lying. oil of St. John's wort . Allow the emulsion to act for about half an hour on the affected skin and rinse with lukewarm water.
