Some weeks ago, we visited a place called Mahabalipuram. Here are some of the photos I took of the place...
Now a UNESCO heritage site, it was once upon a time a popular port for trading connections outside India.
When I saw my young daughter running around, unaware of the historical significance about the place, I called her to my side and launched into a brief narrative about the people in the 8th century AD.
She listened intently for a few minutes and then ran off to push Krishna's butterball. :)
I hope to visit again.
