This past week I decided that I would teach myself Chemistry/Organic Chemistry. I figured that I don't have to go $100,000.00 + into debt to learn anything. So I bought a few books from Thrift Books.com and off I go. I don't think it will be easy but I know it will be worthwhile! I work two almost full time jobs but making time to learn helpful skills is tantamount to my happiness and autonomy. It looks like there are a great many people using this platform that I follow on other social media outlets so I'm excited to be here and hopefully I'll make a couple friends!

Awesome. I've been teaching myself organic chemistry also, and found youtube and forums like chemistrymadness to be an extremely useful compliment to used textbooks.

Its awesome both of you are learning Chemistry by yourselves. I'm doing that with what I consider to be 'the humanities' but what you guys are doing is a hard science. In some ways that makes the learning process different and harder! Good luck!
