Mt. Jurupa

Riverside, CA is surrounded by several small urban mountains that provide great hiking and mountain biking options. I drove up to Martin Tudor Regional Park for the short 2.5 mile round trip hike to Mr. Jurupa (2217'). The trail is steep, gaining 1130' in just over a mile. But the attraction, or distraction, or outrage of this hike, depending on your point of view is the huge amount of graffiti art painted on the boulders. I am against defacing natural rocks, but I have to admit a lot of the art is pretty good. I think the city has given up trying to police it, leaving as an outdoor art gallery where you can also get some cardio.
