Evening walk, up the mountain Fagernesfjellet

A kid enjoy skiing.

Friday evening my wife, our dog Nero and I took a little hike up in the mountain Fagernesfjellet. The sun is back and we wanted to see the sunset for our first time this year. The trail follow a small road up a Mountain restaurant 656 meters above the sea. The walk take around 50 minutes in in normal pace.

Narvikfjellet is a unique facility both summer and winter surrounded by majestic mountains and deep fjords. At the foot of the mountain you will find Narvik town, which makes Narvikfjellet to Norway's most urban facility.

The lifts and T-bars start in the downtown area, approx. 200 meters above sea level, and take you up to 1006 m. within 10 minutes. From there you can walk further 300 meters to the 3rd top, the starting point of raw Off-Piste world-class skiing!

Why take the lift when you can walk and enjoy the view in 50 minutes instead of 10?

Here you can enjoy a cup of chocolate when it is cold, or a beer if you got to hot in the sun. This evening I would preferred something hot.

The chairlift will take you to the top of the ski resort and the end of the lift-based skiing at 1006 meters above sea level.

Up and down are the same length, but easier and faster down from the mountain. It is started to getting dark but still an orange light on the sky.

The views are always fantastic! And, I must admit that I'm not surprised that the lift begins in town. Seems to make sense in that environment.

Does Nero get to ride the lift?

Thank you for sharing Harald.

Thank you very much @guysellars. We all had to go because we need the exercise 😂

I'm a bit late to this one, but I love the landscapes anyways.

My family and I traveled to Norway every year when I was little (not for skying but fishing), so I have only good memories related to this place.

Full upvote, resteem and I'm following you from now on - I guess that's everything I could give :-)

Thank you very much. It is never to late 😊 I am glad you have good memories from Norway and hope you feel you are welcome back. Thank you for following and support. Have a great weekend.
