I saw this headline :
71 percent don't want Biden to run for reelection:poll"
And I thought it very peculiar. Why wouldn't Republicans want Biden to run for re-election? Surely they are aware that he'd be a weak candidate, and therefore is their preferred choice?
And indeed the article reifies the headline:
*Seven in 10 Americans say they do not want President Biden to run for a second term, according to a new poll that comes as Biden's approval numbers remain low and his party braces for losses this November."
But the next paragraph says something different, and while both could be true, it's clear this must be the true result:
A Harvard CAPS-Harris Poll survey shared exclusively with The Hill found that 71 percent of respondents polled do not think Biden should run for a second term, compared to 29 percent who say he should run."
So the amazing and hard to fathom headline, and first paragraph, are in fact bullshit.
This is not a small thing. They got exclusive access to the poll and reported a key finding incorrectly.
How do people get away with this?
