Hindu Muslim war of India

The only disgraceful part of Maratha unparalleled victory over the Muslims rule from Bharat and reducing the Muslims political influence beyond Attock is that, The Maratha did not take revenge on the Muslims for their religious persecution!
Unlike spain, portugal, Bulgaria, Greece and other European nations which saved Christianity from Extinction from their lands by ridding completely their homeland from Mualims. The Hindus never thought of exterminating the Muslims out of India . They refrained from inflicting similar, not to speak of greater, atrocities even on the enemy like Mullas who considered religious persecution and diabolic and atrocities themselves to be their religious duties!
Naturally on this religious side the Muslims in India were never exterminated nor they subdued.
Rooting them completely as the ancient hindus had done with the Greeks, saka, huns and other ancient aggressor.
