Hip-hop’s pioneers are not here for the disrespect.
DJ Akademiks went on a rant about hip-hop’s pioneers, calling them dusty and broke. He also claimed that they are not as rich as today’s artists. The remarks prompted LL Cool J to respond during an Instagram Live session, where he defended hip hop’s pioneers by saying that they paved the way for everyone else in the game.
