History of Hosh Muhammad Sheedi, Brave and Legend Sindhi Army soldier. Hosh Mohammad Sheedi was a brave General of Mir's Army. He fought against British army led by General Sir Charles James Napier to stop them from annexing the Sindh. Which resulted his martyrdom in the Battle of Dubbo 24 March 1843 He was so brave and courageous that 54 deep wounds in his body couldn't stop him to stand in the battlefield. While looking the raised colorful flag of British. He cut his seriously wounded right arm with an axe and stumbled towards British General Charles Napier, who was standing in front of his Tent but can’t do so and shouted that “Marsoon Marsoon Sindh Na Daisoon” I will die but never give you Sindh. Capt. Richardson and Demisrus rushed towards Hoshu to kill him. As he reached near Hoshu, Hoshu attacked Demisrus with an axe from his only left hand while Richardson attacked him with an ironic weapon in his chest. But the courageous warrior Hoshu stood up, pulled the weapon out of his chest and strikes it on Richardson on his head, which resulted in Richardson death. After killing them Hoshu tried to proceed towards Charles Napier but he felt down on his first step towards Charles Napier and martyred. A monument for Hoshu Sheedi was made in the Kacho Qillo (Mud Fort) in Hyderabad by Sir Charles Napier as a recognition of brave soldier after the conquest of Sindh. Hoshu Sheedi was buried in the ground of Dubbo where he died, his grave is present there along with monuments of British soldier in the same ground, at about 25 kilometers away from east of Hyderabad city on Mipur Khas road in Narejani Village. To pay tribute to Hosh Muhammad Sheedi, a replica was built at Risala Road, Hyderabad and a Flyover in Qasimabad was also dedicate to the name of Hosh Muhammad Sheedi. The mausoleum of Hosh Mohammed Sheedi, popularly known as Hosho Sheedi, who died in a war against the British invasion on March 24, 1843, is in shambles condition due to ignorance. It was built many years back in 1843 to pay tribute to the war martyrs and was declared a heritage site. The historical shrine is situated at Dubee, a small village situated some 10 kilometers from the Hyderabad city.
