Somewhere in Bosnia - my sister

This is an old Yugoslav monument dedicated to the battle Sutjeska which happened in Second World War against Nazis.

There are many, many more monuments around ex-Yu countries, not to mention numerous memorial fountains and epitaphs that you can find almost everywhere. This article only shows strangest of them all.

Bosnia is a very interesting and beautiful country. It is teeming with history and just walking through Sarajevo, you can see it in front of your eyes. Bombed out shells of buildings next to brand new homes/offices. The museum is still standing in the same condition it was left post war.

I took the train from Metković to Sarajevo and it's really something else. At the time (circa 5 years ago), it was the old style carriages and you wind around the countryside, passing wokers on the line in full "Communist" style caps manning the line.

It is a destination well worth going to in Europe if you fancy something a bit more off the beaten track.

I like bosnia
