Joseph Bonanno

This mafia took a special place in the criminal world of America. At 15, the Sicilian boy remained an orphan. Illegally moved to the United States, where he quickly joined the criminal circles. He created an influential criminal family Bonanno and managed it for 30 years. Over time, it began to be called "Banana Joe." Having reached the status of the richest Mafiosi in history, he voluntarily retired. The rest of his life he wanted to live peacefully in his personal luxury mansion. For a time he was all forgotten. But the release of the autobiography was an unprecedented act for the mafiosi and again riveted attention to him. For a year he was even put in jail. Joseph Bonanno died at 97, surrounded by relatives.
