Talaga Bodas is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Garut. Talaga Bodas means White Lake, because the lake has very beautiful greenish-white water. Talaga Bodas is a crater lake and is one of the craters of Mount Galunggung.

Since the days of the Dutch East Indies, Talaga Bodas has become a popular tourist attraction among the Dutch. Even the governor general of the Dutch East Indies officially made it a tourist attraction in 1924.
