Warnings of Doublethink in Biblical times?

Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! -Isaiah 5:20

I'm not religious and I'm not much of a bible buff, but this verse is very interesting from a psychological/historical aspect, and it's becoming relevant again. It's reminiscent of a quote from George Orwell's 1984.

That's creepy and cool. Sadly, we've touched the history books about as much as we've touched a bible...of any religion, but they're kinda the same thing, no? It was written by the victors anyway...what the bleep do we know? ;)

I remember being taught something about the tongue being one of the worst weapons available to man. With our deceit and lies and corruption and gossip we can tear people and civilizations to pieces. Those wielding doublespeak against the people must be identified and stopped!
