The first time the flame thrower was used in combat was in this movie. Our guys found out that the 30-06 round would go through the operator, and the tank behind him...UGLY!

sir smithlabs what does that mean? who was using the 30-06 us? and it would go through a person and into a tank?

No, sorry, the Germans brought up flame throwers to take the hill. The 30-06 went through the German operator, and breached the flame thrower tank on their back...woosh!

:'(

oh my gosh! I didn't know why had 30-06's over there...what was the regular issue rifle? the 30-06 was what the snipers used right?
and was it like in the movies when the tank got ruptured the operator got engulfed in flames?
great job on the Engagement League this week by the way!

Couldn't catch the steem machine, ROFLOL! Yes the Springfield rifle was 30 calibre, and was approved in 1906; which is where the 30-06 tag came from. It was designed to be mass produced on the Ammo, which is where the boat tailed point came from. It worked so well, that all military rounds now copy that basic shape

Yes the tanks rupture and light off, Nasty!

The Springfield was a superior rifle, and we put it in the hands of people that hunted for Food. It was a deadly combination!

:)

sir smithlabs! thanks for the great information and education, I just didn't know much about the WWI rifles.

The Springfield is one of the best bolt action Rifles ever made. It is still hard to find, and expensive. All the other bolt action battle rifles are half the cost of a Springfield. I still need one myself. Glad I could help you!

:D

oh my gosh! smithlabs doesn't even have a Springfield! Well I think that's unacceptable sir..what do I put in the search to find one? What is the exact words to type in or do I just put Springfield rifle?
If they're hard to find I'm surprised you haven't built your own by now.
sound like you're slacking a little bit there! lol.

Slacking...maybe, probably time on steemit, ROFLOL! They seem to hang around at $650.00; while the others are $250.

I will pick one up sometime.

:)
