In this video I talked about what's happening with Ethereum and how can that affect Steem !

Vitalik Buterin seems that he sold 90K ETH what worth $25 million. And that's really a big deal.

Imagine if Ethereum will fail ! What will happen so ?!

I created a video about Ethereum before that's worse than steem and I was attacked by some telling me that I don't know anything about it. Yeah, I don't know that much about it. I know more about steem. But, the thing I'm sure about is that Ethereum has fees to pay for each transaction and that I have to wait some time for that to be confirmed. I did transact some Ethereum once and the amount was low and I didn't get that amount at all to my coinbase account. It's too simple, the transaction wasn't confirmed by the blockchain. So, what if someone will send a big amount, will he/she just lose his money ?

I also know that all my life transactions in steem are and will be sent and received instantly ( 3 seconds ) without waiting for any confirmation. I never had an issue with steem during 2 years and half trading it. And who can tell me now that Ethereum is better ?! If you are so hardly defending it, what you are doing in steem ?!

Anyways, this is why I think that steem can easily replace Ethereum. We have a dedicated community even with such price. We have awesome applications built on it. We pay no fees, transactions are instant. We will have SMT's very soon. Communities are already tested in https://beta.steemit.com/communities. And even people in social media know now about it thanks to #promo-steem and the effort of dedicated steemians.

Can you tell me now that's Ethereum is better ?

Maybe I'm wrong, who knows. But, please prove that you are right. What's special in Ethereum that I can't see in steem ?

Anyway, I'm still learning about cryptocurrencies and I would like to know more about other cryptos more. Because we are all fighting for the decentralization after all. We should always collaborate. Our communities should stick together and build something even greater together.

I'm grateful for a platform like @threespeak where I can speek my mind freely !

Enjoy watching the video !

I dont think its better, its just different. Also Ethereum has a huge developer base and much more funding than Steemit Inc. Steemit Inc basically is broke.

But it’s impossible to know what will happen in the future. Steem could fail as well. We have low marketcap, low exposure, bad reputation, very low active users, lots of abuse,...

We have to have positive people about it. Those who fight the abuse. Explain to people how it's exactly working. Keep building communities, inviting people, using dapps and everything will be ok. Don't lose hope in a platform where you are almost 2 years. Change your thinking in the positive way. Find advantages and ignore disadvantages. Nothing is perfect in life. We are all working hard to improve it.

We exist only about 4 years. Ethereum was created a bit before. Anything can happen in crypto and you will be surprised seeing that. It's not only about the marketcap. Not only about the price. The price is even good because at any time it can boom. Those who are negative will regret and you will see how they will talk when it will boom !!! ☺

Very interesting....Steem can easily replace Etherium but need a strong community. We know Facebook was nothing but from their journey they continue get lot of active users by promoting but still steemit have no promotional program. Lot of people don't know about steem because crypto community is jealous of steem as they never share steem with crypto community. If people know about steem, of course they are interested on steem. I think we need 100k daily active users then steem has a lot of demands so price can easily pump. Result more people interested on steem. I have no objection against steem. Just use steemit as a social platform instead of wasteful social media. But steem promotion is urgent needed to lead the crypto world....

Of course, that's why we should keep promotnig it and keep our excitedment about that. At least steemit has @steem.marketing and they do something about promotion sometimes. But, we need more anyway.

Well in my opinion, all the time that I have transacted with ethereum I haven't had a problem, neither with steem too.

But the thing is when I first created a paid steem account my money was deducted and my account was created, I later found out that that payment option is no longer working and it's still among the payment options, is it to trap people and get their money?, Well I can't say. But my first experience with steem wasn't good but, I later on, I found out that steem is a good place, so first impressions matter a lot. If you continue with ethereum you would see that all in all it has it benefits.

I'm not interested in ethereum. I use to pay no fees and to instant transactions. The first impession can be wrong because we don't know a thing before we join. So, open your mind and learn more about steem and you will find it the best for sure.

I think Steem is a high capacity blockchain capable of transactions that put ETH and BTC to shame... Problem is, the market/investors are hooked on whatever's the most famous and most don't want to try anything new, even if it's far better.

I hope Stemmit can fire up the marketing engines before it's too late :)

I will add, to my knowledge, Steem is just as good as EOS, if not better, but look at the EOS price... Crypto prices is heavily based on meaningless hype. If it wasn't, Steem would be in the top 30 cryptos like it was in 2017...

Who knows, things can always change for the best for us. Thanks for your thoughts.

I don't think the devs are so crazy to work this hard and then neglect marketing, but it seems to be taking a while. Once SMT's go live, you will see a major push for marketing I think. Stop worrying so much boss! :)
