Brazil knocked out from Copa America 2024 by a ten-men side Uruguay in the penalty shootout. Aa a fan of their rivals, it's a different feelings for me.
I am from Bangladesh. A country, 10 thousand miles way from Latin America. But people now know us a great football loving nation throuh some viral video clip during Qtara World Cup-2022. Many Argentine now knows that somewhere in this world, who loves Argentina National Football Team like them. There are another big fan base, Brazil fan base. Like in Latin, we also have a very complicated relations with each other fans.
We have a football team of our own. But, in near future, our teal will never reach to the world cap nor in Asia Cup. So, as a sports loving nation, how could we miss the feelings of World Cup? We used to support who playes WC. We have a large number of Argentina fan base, Brazil fan base is similar with numbers. Like 20/30 millions of people supporters in a fan base. There are others countries fan, but way more smaller then the big two.
During the World Cup or Copa, we divided like two parts. Feels like we are in a war. Brothers and friends become enemy for that period of time. Numerous fighting, marching happened all over the country. If you never come here, you will never know how serious we are about it. There are many drama made with this topic. Some of them showed family broken over Argentina-Brazil rivalries. Father kicks his son out of his house becouse son supports other team. In reality, there are many building which colour was designed with inspired by Brazil and Argentina's National Flag's.
When Brazil got knocked out from Copa, it’s make millions of Argentina fans happy. Same would happened if coins turned back. I can remember, in 2014 when we lost the final against Germany, we were mocked despite they lost to a huge 7-1 margin against the same team. This is how it works. If our teams won, we become happy. If our rival lose, we become happier. . Elimination of Brazil make us relaxed like after winning World Cup.
It was a matter of time. Becouse, the Brazil team was unstable. No proper striker was there. A young guy name Endrik was no.9 in Q8. Can you believe it? A team who was full with stars, playing a 17 year old dude as their main striker. That was the end of them. 😂😂
I have many problems with my English. If you take it easily, will be great for me. Thank You.
Sometimes the best players are the youngest, as Yamal is showing tonight.
I remember an 18 year old Michael Owen shining for England at the 1998 World Cup. This goal being particularly memorable:
Although he probably should’ve left it for Scholes to score.
