Canine Training
Having a dog can provide you a lot of happiness. Dog obedience training, on the other hand, is an important aspect of socialization. Your dog will struggle to integrate with your friends and family, as well as other canines, if you do not provide proper training.
This can be difficult or embarrassing in some instances. And, in the worst-case scenario, it might have disastrous repercussions.
It is your job as a responsible dog owner to ensure that your dog is properly trained. You should take your puppy to obedience courses when he or she is still a puppy. Your dog will be much more open to instruction and have a better potential for learning throughout this period of his life.
Obedience lessons are also a fantastic way for your dog to gain socialization with other dogs. We'll go over all of the reasons why training your dog is so vital in this article.

It Instills Life Skills in Your Dog
You're teaching your dog the skills it needs to coexist peacefully with humans and other animals when you properly train it. You might think that domestic dogs have it easier compared to their wild counterparts. However, living in a human family places pressure on your dog, which it must learn to manage.
If you don't train your dog properly, he or she may develop destructive habits. When you're not around, they could become agitated and chew up your furniture. They may also be aggressive toward people or other animals.

Stress Reduction
You're doing your dog a lot of harm in the long term if you don't properly train it. Well-trained dogs are often calm and peaceful, and they can blend well with humans.
Your dog, on the other hand, may be hostile and terrified if it hasn't been properly trained. If your dog exhibits worried tendencies, you can help them by reassuring them.
If they're afraid of visitors, you might put up a baby gate to keep them separate from them. You might also simply relocate them to a different room.
On the other hand, if your dog is very excited and jumps up at visitors, you should teach them how to appropriately welcome visitors without being so boisterous. It's critical to address these issues as soon as possible, as they could endanger the dog or other people.
It Aids in the Avoidance of Conflict
It's critical that your dog has socialization experience with both humans and animals. If your dog is uneasy among other animals, it may cause conflict and, in the worst-case scenario, injury to your dog or another's pet.
It's simply not possible to keep your dog away from other animals all of the time. At some point, your dog will inevitably be approached by another person. Your dog should socialize with other animals on a regular basis to avoid nervousness or hostility in the presence of other animals.
Taking your puppy to puppy obedience training while they're still young is a terrific approach to accomplish this. This does not necessarily imply that your dog must enjoy playing with other animals. Some dogs prefer not to play with other dogs.

It might assist you in better understanding your dog
Obedience training entails a lot more than just teaching your dog new tricks. It might also assist you in gaining a better grasp of your dog's requirements.
There is a lot of misinformation out there when it comes to dog training. Many individuals unintentionally cause anxiety in their dogs without even realizing it.
When it comes to dog obedience training, you can rest assured that you're getting sound advice.
When you leave your dog alone, he will behave
Leaving a dog alone might be one of the most difficult aspects of dog ownership. At some time, you'll have to leave your dog alone at home. When that time arrives, you must have faith in their ability to conduct responsibly.
Untrained dogs may growl and cry for hours on end or chew up anything they can get their paws on. This type of behavior might not only be pricey, but it can also lead to noise complaints being filed against you.
When a dog exhibits these actions, it indicates that they are not in a good mood. When you properly teach your dog from a young age, it reinforces good behavior patterns and lowers separation anxiety.
The majority of the time, a dog that misbehaves when left alone may be taught to behave properly with the proper obedience training.

It Will Assist in Making Your Dog Safer
A dog that refuses to obey commands is in danger. There are many dangers in the world that dogs may not be aware of.
A dog, for example, does not comprehend the concept of a road. If your dog ignores commands, he or she may rush into the road and get hit by a car.
A well-trained dog is safe from the majority of dangers because it can be directed to avoid them. Teaching your dog to sit and wait before crossing the road is a smart idea. When your dog has this behavior instilled in them, they will continue to do it even if they are separated from you.

Very well written article! I have a question for you though, I am still in progress to figure out how to deal with the situation. I have a dog (she will be 4 in May), I did training sessions at the local pet store. She was extremely active puppy and she would jump on every person she meets on the street-trained her not to do that over the time, she likes everything-other dogs, cats, people, kids, men, women-you name it! when I got her I lived alone and then my boyfriend moved in with me and she got used to him. We didn't have that many visitors but the ones who would come to the house, she would be as friendly as outside. We had my boyfriends mother to visit us from time to time and Ivy (my dog) kind of became little odd around her, she kept distance off of her. She moved in with us in several months and Ivy started barking at her when we around! like not full mouth bark, but she would make this half bark sound (if that makes sense)? She told us when we out of the apartment, she would not make a sound! Long story short :D we moved into the house (we lived in the apartment) and I thought since it is brand new area for her, she would be "ok" with my boyfriends mother, but no! she does exactly the same thing. sometimes she starts growl at her, and when we not in the house, my (now husband's) mother would say that she would not make a sound. Ivy would come out of the bedroom and just walk around. This is a mystery for us completely. We try to say "its ok Ivy" come say hello etc. My mother in law has difficulty walking, she walks with a cane and she also calls Ivy by her name in like sweet tone, sometimes Ivy gest close to her, licks her hand and backs off and starts barking again. I honestly did really good research and can not figure out how to deal with this situation. When strangers (we dont have that many) come to the house she does bark alittle but then she stops. Like now, I have plumber working in the bathroom that is joined with bedroom and Ivy sits on our master bedroom bed and does not make a sound but my mother in law just walked out of her room and she right jumped off of the bed and started barking again.
Let me know what your thoughts would be? I understand she might think she is protecting us but it is very odd behavior
