페이스북의 모회사인 메타가 메타버스를 위한 가상 화폐를 검토하고 있다고 합니다. 내부적으로는 'Zuck Bucks'라고 명명한다고 하며, 반드시 블록체인 기반의 암호화폐는 아닐 수도 있다고 합니다. 로불록스의 Robux 통화와 비슷한 개념의 중앙 제어 인앱토큰 쪽으로 발행할 수도 있다고 하네요.
또한 기여에 대한 보상으로 발행하는 '소셜토큰' 또는 '평판토큰', 그리고 특정 인플루언서와 연관되는 '크리에이터 토큰' 등을 만들 것이라고 합니다.
또한 인스타그램이 NFT를 지원할 것이라는 이야기가 있었으나 대부분 아직 논의 초기단계라고 합니다.
따로 암호화폐 안만들거면 그냥 스팀 토큰 써주라 메타야...
