Don't you remember, they are trying to remove downvotes from Steem. In fact, the Korean @proxy.token account used removing downvotes as a type of extortion for them to give witness votes.

Really funny to see how drastic their ideals changed

Downvoting a post can decrease pending rewards and make it less visible. Common reasons:

  • Disagreement on rewards
  • Fraud or plagiarism
  • Hate speech or trolling
  • Miscategorized content or spam
