Hello Steemians!
Today's featured 3D design is again from the Seven Deadly Sins anime, the Spirit Spear Chastiefol. A sacred spear treasure the same with the Divine Axe Rhitta on the link above. On the anime, it is usually shown in the form of a common spear but one of its abilities is to transform into a different weapon or things depending on the owner's will. It is currently in the possession of King.
The weapon has another cool form(all gold) and I consider making it in another post. But for now, let's get going for this Chastiefol design.
Process
The hardest part for me in creating weapons or sharp objects is attaining the desired sharpness of the object itself. I have to separate the main figure into different parts in order to taper them one by one and to avoid distortion of the main object when parts were combined.
Just like these parts, I made each of them has to be tapered independently.
Combined the two and check for deformities. If it has, then re-apply taper tool to both parts.
This part is creating the middle section of the spear from its tip down to the handle.
Adding extra details.
Then combining it from the previous figure.
Then next is the creation of the handle.
Then lastly, some extra details from the bottom part of the spear.
Combining all parts and applying materials. Ready to render!
Do you have some ideas or things you want me to design? Comment them below and I will look into it. :)
