Hello everyone, how are you? My name is Gustavo, I am a fan of the world of cryptocurrencies, I was born in Venezuela although I currently reside in Colombia - Medellin.

My start in the crypto world was with BTC when I bought some satoshis and began to observe the behavior of the market, I found it super interesting after that I met the cryptocurrency mining and my experience has been as follows:

Since I am from Venezuela to obtain ASIC equipment to have a decent mining power is a bit difficult and usually get are already somewhat old equipment but due to inflation of the FIAT currency of my country was still very profitable not to mention that electrical services in my country are subsidized and are basically free, so the electricity cost is not a factor to take into account beyond its instability (sometimes there are power outages for a few hours).

At some point I got to have 8 AntMiners S9 with firmware at 16 TH/s each and I had them mining in the BTC.com pool but due to family health issues I had to sell them in the second hand market in 2018.

Currently due to the bull market and the increasingly higher prices of each crypto they have become very expensive (at least for the economic level of my country on average) so restocking the equipment has not been easy for now I only have 1 Antminer L3+ equipment of 504 MH/s that mines Litecoin I have it mining in the pool of litecoinpool.org making withdrawals to my wallet in Binance periodically.

Obviously with a view to replenish over time the same amount of equipment I had previously.

For anyone who may find it useful my electrical installation consists of wiring # 6 with two lines of 110v to an industrial breaker continuous work of 80 amps with a voltage supervisor and contactor for the protection of equipment, also has its grounding to prevent damage from static electricity. (If anyone has any improvement or recommendation is welcome).

My mining activities are carried out in Venezuela, although I live in Colombia I supervise everything in the distance and I have relatives who support me in exchange for monthly financial assistance and affection.

In addition to mining cryptos I am also a small scale lender and with these two activities I usually solve the day to day and put bread on the table, I also save about 20% of everything I manage monthly to invest in these two activities all I save in crypto and do HODL until the moment is profitable.

The prices of ASIC equipment in Venezuela are extremely expensive due to how complicated it is to obtain the legal permission to import these items.

I am also very interested in GPU mining (Rigs) but the costs are astronomical in this season of NO STOCK and the return on investment is extremely slow.

This has been my presentation where I tell you who I am, what I do, how I do it and even share technical details in search of feedbacks that will help us all.

that's very cool, I'm a novice when it comes to mining and I only got a gtx 1060, I wonder if it's worth it.
